2026 ORANGEVALE GRANGE RENTAL RATES

SECURITY / DATE HOLD – DEPOSIT PAID WHEN HALL IS BOOKED:

$700 DEPOSIT FOR EVENTS WHEN ALCOHOL IS SERVED

$500 DEPOSIT FOR EVENTS WHEN NO ALCOHOL IS SERVED

VIDEO PROJECTION SYSTEM USE W/ MICROPHONE $150 / Microphone only $50


KITCHEN:
Minimum Charge – $50 (Coffee & finger foods served)

Full Use: $150 (Use of any appliances & food preparation)


SINGLE DAY EVENT:
(SAT/SUN)

All Day – 9 AM to Midnight:                                                              $1400

Fri or Sat –Min 4 hours between 9 AM & Midnight                           $120/hour

Sunday-Min. 4 hours between 9 AM & 10 PM:                                 $110/hour


CASUAL WEEKDAYS 9 AM TO 10 PM:

Monday thru Thursday-Min 4 hours:                                                  $80/hour


LONG TERM RENTAL –Min 3 months:

Sunday thru Thursday-Min 4 hours between 9 am and 10 pm:          $60/hour


MEMORIAL/CELEBRATION OF LIFE EVENT
– Monday thru Thursday only – Special Price.

The rental rate is $420 for six hours.  Use of the video projection is available for an additional fee stated above.  A deposit is still required with or without alcohol.


INSURANCE:
A Certificate of Insurance is to be provided by Renter-$1,000,000/Occurrence & $2,000,000 Aggregate Commercial General Liability, naming Orangevale Grange as additionally insured. Received 15-30 days before the event date.


TABLES & CHAIRS:
Rental Rate includes the use of tables, chairs, and the backyard area.  Tables and chairs cannot be used outdoors.  

 

OVERTIME POLICY:
I
f the event goes 30 minutes beyond scheduled hours, appropriate overtime will be billed according to applicable rates.  The overtime rate shall be billed 1.5 times the normal hourly rate.


WHEN ALCOHOL IS
SOLD
during the event, a permit from Alcohol Beverage Control is required & posted during the event.  No beer kegs are allowed inside the hall.  Live band music must be approved in advance.


WHEN ALCOHOL IS SERVED:
  100-149 guests, a minimum of one (1) security guard is required.  150+ guests, two (2) security guards are required. A security guard is to remain on duty from when alcohol is first served until the hall and outside surrounding property clean-up is done.  No smoking or alcohol consumption is permitted in front of the Grange Hall.

Standing Rules for Use of Hall – 2026
These rules are posted in the Grange Hall.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Renter of Record must follow all county, state, and federal laws.
  • Only lawful activities are permitted on Grange property.
  • Orangevale Grange reserves the right to refuse any Rental Agreement.
  • Renter of Record is responsible for:
    • Leaving hall and grounds in good condition
    • Following all standing rules
  • Failure to comply: $50 minimum deduction from deposit per infraction.
  • Rental Agreement:
    • Cannot be transferred, assigned, or sublet
    • No other organizations may use the facility during your rental time.

GUEST CONDUCT

  • Renter is responsible for behavior of all guests.
  • Grange President and/or Host may enter at any time to ensure compliance.
  • Unruly behavior or fighting:
    • Event will be shut down
    • Deposit will NOT be refunded.

YOUTH EVENTS

  • Rentals involving guests under 21:
    • Must be issued to supervising adults
    • One (1) adult chaperone required for every 20 youth.

EVENT END TIMES / CLEANUP

  • Groups may be required to leave at the scheduled end time, even if cleanup is unfinished.
  • Deposit may be partially or fully forfeited.
  • Overtime may be charged at 2x the regular rate.

SMOKING / VAPING POLICY

  • NO smoking or vaping inside hall.
  • NO smoking in front entrance or parking lot.
  • Smoking allowed only behind hall in designated areas.
  • Cigarettes must be disposed of properly.
  • NO cannabis on Grange property.
  • NO removal of any smoke devices from hall.

PARKING

  • NO overflow parking at neighboring Church.
  • Vehicles parked there may be towed at owner’s expense.
  • Groups over 125 must arrange parking with Church in advance.
  • Violations result in $100 deduction from deposit (donated to Church).
  • Parking availability is NOT guaranteed.
  • Additional parking available in gravel area south of lot.

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING

  • Temperature is preset.
  • Doors/windows left open during event: $100 deduction.
  • Floor fans available in table/chair room during hot days.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Security may be required for certain events.
  • Alcohol events:
    • 100–149 guests: 1 Security Guard
    • 150–200 guests: 2 Security Guards
  • Guard must remain on duty from first alcohol service until cleanup is complete.
  • NO alcohol consumption in front entrance or parking lot.

ALCOHOL RULES

  • NO beer kegs.
  • NO glass beer bottles (beer cans only).
  • Wine bottles allowed inside hall.
  • NO alcohol in restrooms.

REQUIRED PERMITS

  • Serving alcohol to anyone under 21 is a misdemeanor.
  • If minors are served:
    • Event shuts down
    • Deposit forfeited.

Alcohol permits required if selling alcohol:

  • ABC Permit (Form 221): (916) 227-2002 | www.abc.ca.gov
    • Must be posted during event
    • Copy required with Rental Agreement.

Additional permits if applicable:

  • Sales Permit: State Board of Equalization – (916) 739-4911
  • Health Permit: Sacramento County Health Dept – (916) 386-6108

DECORATIONS

  • NO tacks, nails, staples, thumbtacks, or tape (except painter’s tape on walls).
  • NO tape on floors.
  • Entryway bench & table may NOT be moved.
  • Decorations must be removed carefully.

Additional rules:

  • All decorations must be UL flame-retardant approved.
  • Candles must be enclosed in glass/non-flammable holders.
  • NO confetti, rice, glitter, hay bales, or bird seed inside.
  • Bird seed allowed outdoors only for wedding send-offs.
  • Damage or violations: $50 minimum per infraction.

TABLES & CHAIRS

  • Indoor tables/chairs only (outdoor sets available with advance notice).
  • Do NOT drag tables — carry with two people.
  • Guests may not sit or stand on tables.
  • Tables must be wiped clean and returned to racks.
  • Chair racks may be moved; table racks may NOT.
  • Chairs must be rehung on racks.

Cleaning supplies provided:

  • Dry mop, broom, dustpan
  • Wet mop for spills
  • Floors must be swept at end of event.

PERSONAL ITEMS

  • Grange is not responsible for lost items.
  • Coordinate with Rental Coordinator for any left belongings.

KITCHEN USE

  • $50 minimum charge (light use)
  • $150 full kitchen use
  • Adult supervision required for children.

Rules:

  • Clean spills immediately.
  • Maintain clear walkways.
  • NO ice machine — bring ice chests.

Appliances include:

  • Refrigerator (right side)
  • Six-burner gas stove with griddle
  • Microwave
  • Convection oven

Additional charges:

  • Dirty griddle: $50
  • Ovens left on overnight: $50
  • Refrigerator must be 36–42°F (call staff if not).
  • Ensure spray nozzle is OFF after event.

MUSIC / NOISE

  • Live bands must be approved in advance.
  • Outdoor music ends at dusk.
  • Indoor bass must be reduced by half at 10:00 PM.
  • Noise ordinance enforced.

Complaints or Sheriff involvement:

  • Event stopped
  • Deposit forfeited.

TRASH / RECYCLING

  • All trash must be taken to onsite dumpster.
  • Only empty cans & plastic/wine bottles in recycling.
  • Provide outdoor trash cans if picnic areas used.

FIRE LANE / OCCUPANCY

  • Maximum occupancy: 200 people
  • Fire District may shut down overcrowded events.
  • Fire lane must remain clear (except loading/unloading).
  • No parking in Fire Lane.

GROUNDS

  • No damage to picnic tables, buildings, or landscaping.
  • Guests must respect trees and shrubs.
  • No animals without prior approval.
  • Outdoor damage or debris: $50 minimum per infraction.

DAMAGES

  • Costs exceeding deposit will be billed to renter and/or insurance.

Hall Rental
